Esperance Trebuchet
Espérance Trébuchet, a village of Rivière-Du-Rempart, draws its name from an old
sugar estate, L’ESPÉRANCE , which was bought by one of the sons of René Jean
Trébuchet, a French sailor. The transaction took place in 1850
Today Espérance Trébuchet still holds good to its repute as an agricultural
village. Morever its borehole is an important source of water supply for the
north.
