Cottage
The village of Cottage draws its name from an old sugar factory which was active
there for a dozen years. It was built by Frederic De Clermont. The village has
been organized on lands which formerly belonged to the estate.
A monument in Cottage commemorates the death of anjalay, a lady worker who fell
under police shots at Belle Vue Harel on the 24th September 1943.
Cottage is known for its prosperous potato and tomato plantations.
